Japan Links #14

japanloverme.tumblr.com

Japan Lover Me have been posting up some traditional Japanese stories on their Tumblr along with cute illustrations by Little Miss Paintbrush. These sort of stories are always a big influence on everything from anime to videogames so it’s always fun to learn the background.

Another good Tumblr find (thanks Nic!) is Amy’s Adventures in Asia. She’s currently living in Tokyo and blogging everyday stuff including a trip to Sweets Paradise – look at all that cake!

Emma is back from a couple of weeks in Kyoto and has blogged about what she got up to every day. It looks like a lovely trip.

Jenna has been up to some fun things lately, including a trip to Jigokudani Monkey Park – monkeys sitting in hot springs in the snow!

Die Kirschblütenfee is still catching on her Japan trip, with a post about Hamarikyu Park. This has been on my list for a while and definitely looks worth a visit.

Did you know there’s an origami museum in Narita Airport? Muza-chan has some great photos.

And finally, RocketNews24 have some fun facts about Ghibli, as well as the trailer for the live action Kiki’s Delivery Service. It actually looks pretty great, but where’s Jiji? Also, whale shark plane!
